Application Analyst

We are looking for an Application Analyst within the Enterprise Systems team responsible for supporting the applications within SBS.

About the Role

Core responsibilities include:

  • Advanced technical skills
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Video / Broadcast / Media or File based video/audio formats.
  • Knowledge of Network (TCP/IP), Database (SQL), Storage.
  • Competency in Windows Operating Systems
  • A track record of following through on issues
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

You will also be expected to:

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the team.
  • Contribute to planning and support of other staff.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Be able to perform shift work and be on-call

 About you

You’re an individual who takes accountability and strives to always deliver. Showing great initiative, you’re passionate about your work and hold exceptional skills in communication. You will work at both a proactive monitoring level and have the ability to drill down to a granular level to understand the issues quickly to resolve them. You will need to take ownership of support issues, be a strong communicator, and promote a sense of calm in a potentially stressful environment.

You'll be ready for your next big challenge and equipped with the following will be beneficial:

  • Actively participating in the entire issue resolution process from request to completion
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and service level fulfilment, as per SBS KPI’s
  • Closing customer’s issues in close relationship with customer 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Performing analysis on workflows
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your findings
  • Performing system testing.
  • Proactively monitoring and providing appropriate fixes
  • Troubleshoot problems with audio/video hardware, storage and network
  • An Innovator with the ability to think outside the box at crucial points in your day to day work.
  • Broadcast Experience is highly desirable.
