Digital Data Analyst

We're looking for a Digital Data Analyst within our Audience Data & Insights team. The role will be focused on data analysis and communication of data-driven insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate would be a data savvy individual who is comfortable working with technical teams and is able to tell a story with data visualisations. 

What you will be doing

  • Work collaboratively with product teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure ‘best practice’ analytics implementation
  • Gather business requirements, translate requirements into technical designs and work closely with suppliers, developers and QA to validate/troubleshoot any issues to ensure proper implementation
  • Work with internal stakeholders and the broader Audience Data and Insights team to design, develop and maintain regular reporting
  • Translate analysis into insights and communicate those insights to non-technical stakeholders through written, verbal or visual means
  • Maintenance and ongoing development of cloud-based (AWS) data warehouse of audience data, including: data extraction, data cleansing, data exploration and data visualisation
  • Liaise with system vendors and other third parties to ensure system issues are raised and effectively resolved

What we are looking for

  • Ability to translate analysis to insight based on an understanding of audience behaviours, product roadmaps and overarching business strategy
  • Demonstrate a deep fluency in quantitative analysis with a passion for using data to communicate and drive product and content outcomes
  • Advanced skills in data and analytics tools including, but not limited to:
    • SQL
    • Python
    • Adobe Analytics (Desirable)
  • Proficiency in the use of Tableau for data visualisation is essential
  • Experience in digital measurement and Data Management Platforms (DMP)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and within an agile team environment
  • Relevant experience within the media industry would be an advantage
