Digital Product Marketing Search Specialist

We're looking for a Digital Product Marketing Specialist to develop and deliver plans that help more Australians discover and enjoy SBS content on our websites and apps. This includes successful delivery of SEO plans for SBS, and increasing discoverability of our apps and app-based video content for News, Radio, and Sport.

The main tasks/responsibilities include: 

SEO Leadership and Delivery  

  • Lead SEO planning and implementation across the network, including sports, content, news, food and lifestyle sites;
  • Work with editorial and digital teams to ensure best practice in optimisation of both video content and articles, organise training sessions as required, and ensure planned work is successfully prioritised and delivered;
  • Work with agency and editorial teams to provide analysis on search trends and behavioural changes that will inform our online content strategy;
  • Champion SEO within the organisation to make a step change in how audiences organically discover SBS digital content;
  • Provide data analysis, reporting and optimisation of activities to meet KPIs;
  • Manage ASO and optimise for cost efficiency and performance.

Innovation, Collaboration & Growth

  • Act as the marketing team’s regular point of contact with relevant agencies and platform partners (Google, Apple, Amazon);
  • Analyse and provide guidance on paid search campaigns including paid in app search, and ensure that organic and paid activity are aligned;
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager on a Lead Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) program to help grow and retain audiences in the SBS digital ecosystem;
  • Support the Digital Strategy Lead to ensure that search and video content models are aligned, ie on YouTube;
  • Work with the Audience Data and Insights team to roll out dashboarding and reporting as required, ie in Adobe Analytics and Tableau;
  • Support the business in the roll out and marketing of new voice activated products.
