About the role 

SBS is on the hunt for an energetic and experienced, digitally savvy marketer to join the team as Brand Manager leading the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for assigned channels (SBS Food, SBS World Movies), verticals/genres (sport) and priority campaigns across other key genres as well as the management and implementation of key partnerships

Supported by the Senior Brand Manager and working closely with the Digital Strategists, the internal creative team, content team, and media agencies, your audience and data-lead approach to strategic campaign planning with a digital first mindset will see you plan and lead effective marketing strategies to support priority content to achieve outstanding campaign outcomes. This role will contribute to the rollout of the annual marketing strategic planning process, managing media planning from briefing to implementation, and working collaboratively and building strong relationships across the business.  

You will live and breathe content and have a desire to engage new audiences and drive national conversation. 

This is a mid-tier marketing role likely suited to someone with a minimum 5 years relevant experience, and reports to the Senior Brand Manager. 

About you 

You are a highly effective implementer and project manager with a solid understanding of all marketing channels, coupled with a strategic mindset.  

You love working in an exciting and fast-paced team, are proactive in managing complex projects and are an enthusiastic collaborator.

You are audience obsessed with a passion for media and a keen interest in a diverse range of content.

You’re a natural relationship builder, with the ability to think creatively and come up with unique and innovative solutions to engage with potential audiences. 

The following attributes and experience will contribute to your success in this role: 

  • Experienced marketer with minimum 5 years’ relevant experience; media and/or agency experience highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of digital strategy with significant experience working across all digital/social channels including programmatic, content marketing, search, social media, CRM platforms
  • Demonstrated experience managing successful end to end campaigns, from briefing to execution and post analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic campaign planning, drawing on multiple data points to drive insights.
  • Experience working with media agencies with ability to critically assess media plans to ensure maximum ROI for all campaigns.
  • High-level project management competency, ensuring projects are completed within deadlines and to established budgets.  
  • Strong relationship builder and influencer with superior oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in negotiation and implementation of partnerships and sponsorships with the ability to identify suitability to brand.
  • Proactive and highly energetic flourishing in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly competent in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Google docs, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and ability to quickly get up to speed new platforms/software (eg: performance dashboards).
  • Tertiary qualifications in a commercial discipline such as marketing, communications or business.
