Each week Small Business Secrets uncovers the secrets to running a successful business in Australia and provides information for businesses about how to tackle the challenges they face and take advantage of opportunities so they can grow their businesses.
This is a rare opportunity for a talented journalist to be a part of a dynamic team that produces a creative magazine style television program.
You will be responsible for reporting and compiling creative feature content for all Small Business Secrets Platforms.
You will be responsible for undertaking work in a way that reflects and upholds SBS’s Charter, Vision and Values, fosters a positive and proactive work environment, and complies with SBS’s policies, procedures and practices.
You’ll be part of a team which delivers distinctive cross platform stories of the highest editorial standards that highlight Australia’s multicultural nature and celebrate diversity.
This opportunity is for a 6 month contract.
You will have broadcast reporting experience, and will provide content across all of our news platforms: TV, radio, and online.
You will have the ability to plan, prepare, assess, pitch, research, write, edit and produce feature scripts for TV & Radio, Online text, blogs, video, audio and record voice-overs, using purpose shot, file and interviewee supplied content.
The role demands journalists with a passion for news/current affairs and a flair for creative story-telling. In addition you will have a sound understanding of stories which resonate with our diverse audiences, and knowledge of SBS Charter and SBS Code of Conduct.
You’ll need to have an understanding of digital and social media and how to use those platforms to tell stories. Understanding the importance of digital media and driving content online is a key part of the role.
