About the role

SBS is on the hunt for a savvy digital marketer to work across key genres including factual, news and current affairs, entertainment and drama. Working closely with the Marketing and Brand Managers and media agency, your audience and data-lead approach to strategic campaign planning will see you plan and lead effective digital strategies to support both priority content and digital products. This role will also see you setting the overarching strategy for social marketing campaigns, providing ongoing insights and recommendations, leading the relationship with our programmatic agency, leading key digital projects to and improve our digital capability and ensure we stay above the curve.

The role could see you planning the social strategy for Eurovision one day to briefing our programmatic agency on our next flagship factual series, to planning an acquisition campaign to drive the SBS News app the next. You will live and breathe content and have a desire to engage new audiences and start a national conversation.

About you

To be considered for his role, you’ll have solid digital experience across all platforms and touch points, and be able to demonstrate how you’ve lead successful digital campaigns.

The following attributes and experience will contribute to your success in this role:

  • Minimum 6 years digital and social marketing experience; experience in a media environment and/or digital agency highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic campaign planning, drawing on multiple data points to drive insights.
  • Demonstrated experience managing successful end to end digital campaigns, from briefing to execution and post analysis.
  • Solid understanding and experience across all digital platforms including programmatic, content marketing, search and social media.
  • Creative and innovative with an understanding of what constitutes effective creative across different platforms.
  • Proactive professional who enjoys collaborating as a part of the creative process.
  • Experience working with media agencies, with an ROI driven approach to demonstrate the impact of digital marketing.
  • Solid knowledge of digital and social trends, and a desire to stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Strong relationship builder and influencer with superior oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flourish in a fast paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Well versed in social and digital tech including Simply Measured and/or Salesforce Social Studio, Omniture / Adobe Analytics, Facebook Ads manager, Creative Platform Manager (e.g. Celtra), Twitter/Facebook/YouTube/Instagram Analytics and dashboards; Confident picking up new software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a commercial discipline: marketing, communications, business or similar.
