Our Audio and Language Content (ALC) team, also known as SBS Radio, helps people from a diverse range of cultures feel at home in Australia. We inform, educate and entertain Australians through our in-language radio programs and digital content. People listen to us through traditional analogue radio plus digital radio and through our App. They catch up with us through our podcasts on our in-language websites, as well as on social media.
About the roles
We are currently looking for a Digital Content Producer as well as various Content producers, who could be based with our teams either in our Sydney or Melbourne office.
For both roles, it is essential to be proficient (written, spoken and translation) in official Bahasa Indonesian and English, with a sound understanding of the Indonesian community in Australia and its cultural sensitivities. You will need prior experience in a media environment and use your excellent editorial skills and experience to produce content.
As a Digital Content Producer, you will further build our Indonesian online communities and grow our audiences in the digital space, and will be a social media guru. You love embracing new technology, with a fundamental ability to optimise content to better our search engine rankings and drive traffic to our websites.
You will be able to create content, graphics, polls, social videos and galleries based on news and features produced. You can manage and moderate multiple social media platforms and understand what content works on each. You must be on and across all mainstream social media platforms and those specific to the Indonesian speaking community. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to use Photoshop and audio and video editing software. We are looking at a start date of July for this role.
Our Content producers need to be able to to research, write, produce, translate and present audio content on air and online. You will have a passion for radio and will be comfortable working online. We would be looking at an immediate start date for these roles.
For both roles, the successful candidates must be willing and able to undertake shift work.
