The Team

As the custodians of our workplace culture, the People & Culture team play a critical role in creating an Amazing Employee Experience for all our people at SBS and we are looking for a passionate and creative Human Resources generalist to join our team.   Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Lead you will support the delivery of world class innovative HR services to the SBS leadership group and People & Culture team.

The Role

You will be someone who thrives in a fast paced and highly proactive environment.  You will be a true generalist with a strong focus on building and implementing amazing employee experiences.  You will work across the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management and employee relations.  You will also provide general support to People and Culture Business Partners in policy development and implementation, change planning, talent reviews, award and EBA interpretation, providing sound advice and coaching to line managers as well as general HR administration. You will work closely to support the delivery of the People & Culture business plan and the broader SBS strategic goals.

To be successful you will need:

  • 2-3 years’ proven experience as an HR generalist
  • A demonstrated customer service and solutions focussed approach to work
  • Well-developed evidenced technical HR skills and knowledge
  • Experience with recruitment and on-boarding practices, and in achieving positive ER/IR outcomes
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • An interest in SBS and our purpose
