Presentation and Promo Planning Co-ordinator

As part of the SBS Marketing Department, the Presentation and Promo Planning Co-ordinator plays a key role in contributing to the delivery of SBS’ distinctive content. The co-ordinator is responsible mainly from assisting with the preparation and delivery of daily transmission schedules for all SBS Channels, making sure all schedule elements are used in a manner that executes best practice. Some of the tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Using IBMS scheduling software, assisting in the preparation of the minute-by-minute schedule for the broadcast day which includes program parts, commercial spots, station idents, secondary events and classification graphics; 
  • Scheduling promotion events through IBMS in conjunction with the Promo Optimiser, in line with agreed marketing strategy and audience insight information;
  • Importing daily as-run files for all channels and debriefing the daily broadcast schedule after transmission on a timely manner;
  • Updating Nielsen program information daily for all SBS Channels;
  • Creating and assigning commercial break templates to programming slots in accordance with program rundowns.

You will ideally have:

  • Some experience with an on-air presentation / scheduling software (preferably IBMS / Pilat);
  • Previous experience in a similar position or a media operations role;
  • An understanding of and an interest in broadcast operations and transmission schedules.
