Thai Digital Content Producer (Sydney or Melbourne location)

SBS Radio is the world’s most linguistically diverse public broadcaster providing a vital service to Australia’s increasingly diverse community. We provide Australian-focussed news and information in languages other than English and we are growing our digital services to continue to meet the needs and expectations of our audiences.

About the role

If you’re a creative Digital Content Producer who is also proficient in Thai, we’d love to hear from you.

As Digital Content Producer you will build our Thai speaking online community and grow our audiences in the digital space.

You will also be responsible for the creation and strategic placement of digital content, and the day to day moderation of relevant websites and social media platforms, such as our Facebook page.

You will produce content, graphics, polls, social videos and galleries based on news and features produced.

You will provide support to the on-air program teams, to include the promotion of podcasts and on-demand catch-up content and coaching on best practice online production and promotional techniques.

Additionally, you will work with the Online and Content teams to identify, develop and amplify SBS Radio exclusive stories.

About you

You have a sound understanding of the Thai speaking community in Australia, and its cultural sensitivities, and are considered a social media expert. That means you can manage and moderate multiple social media platforms and understand what content works on each. Specifically, you must be on and across all mainstream social media platforms and those specific to Australia’s Thai speakers.

You embrace new technology, and are skilled in Search Engine Optimization, with a fundamental ability to optimise content to better search engine rankings and drive traffic to websites. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to use Photoshop and audio and video editing software.
