We are seeking a highly capable and knowledgeable Enterprise Systems Manager to oversee the operation and evolution of these critical systems that are cornerstones of how we handle and house our data, particularly media. From understanding the needs of the business through to maintenance, software release and vendor management, you will be responsible for ensuring these systems are performing optimally. One of the key systems is the Media Asset Management which is at the heart of SBS and critical to delivering content to our audiences. Other system may include Business Management Systems, CRM, Intranet and Oracle finance systems.
Working with all parts of the business, it will provide you with a deep insight into the inner workings of SBS. It will also allow you to understand how these systems are being used and help ensure that the current and future needs can be included in the continuing development. This will also include defining the strategic direction for how these systems evolve. You will be a part of the Broadcast Technology and Systems team and interacting closely with the Infrastructure teams in supporting all the technology needs of SBS.
You’ll likely be working in a media-dominant environment at present, and understand the key functions of a media organisation ecosystem. This includes content acquisition, media processing, delivery, metadata and content formats. Ideally you will have a passion for media and technology with a view on how the industry is evolving for both broadcasters and audiences. More importantly, experience in delivering critical projects, the ability to prioritise and an understanding of maintaining live 24-7 environments is needed to be successful in this role.
