 This role is classified as Level 6 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with annual base salary range of $126,040 - $140,000). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Department

SBS Technology is the ‘engine room’ of the organisation, enabling and supporting the production, distribution, and transmission of content across television, radio, and digital platforms. Our teams work collaboratively to design innovative solutions, deliver end-to-end services, and explore how emerging technologies can add value to our business and audiences.

The Role

Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, the Business Analyst plays a key role in collaborating with teams across all SBS divisions to understand and document business workflows, processes, and requirements. Working closely with business stakeholders and project teams, the BA ensures these elements are thoroughly understood and accurately captured to support the development of effective solutions. This role is specifically focused on identifying and analysing business processes with the potential to be enhanced through the application of enterprise AI solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging with stakeholders across SBS to gather, clarify, workflows and requirements.
• Analysing current processes to identify opportunities for improvement, particularly where AI solutions may apply.
• Translating and documenting complex business needs into clear user stories, functional requirements, and processes.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in solution design, testing, and delivery.
• Facilitating workshops, interviews, and discovery activities to engage stakeholders and uncover opportunities.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a media industry.
• Strong ability to analyse and document business processes, workflows, and requirements.
• Proven track record of delivering in demanding, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and facilitate collaboration.
• Proficiency with business analysis tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio.
• Exposure or interest in projects involving enterprise AI solutions or emerging technologies is not essential but considered beneficial.
