This role is classified as Level 5 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $106,689 - $126,039). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Department
The Television and Online Content Division’s purpose is to make SBS Australia's most distinctive media organisation focused on delivering a clear promise to our audiences, to inspire them to seek out different perspectives, to feel a sense of connection, belonging and empowerment.
The Role
We’re looking for a skilled and collaborative Business Management Partner to join our TV & Online Content team at SBS. This role reports to the Business Manager and plays a key part in ensuring the financial and operational health of one of our most dynamic portfolios.
In this role, you will:
Provide timely financial and business advice to the Business Manager and Finance team, helping ensure the portfolio operates effectively within its budget.
Partner closely with internal stakeholders to offer guidance and solutions on a broad range of business management matters â including finance, resource allocation, and operational planning.
Take the lead on key finance functions including preparing annual budgets, forecasts, monthly variance analysis, and quarterly business reviews.
Build and maintain robust budgeting and forecasting models to help inform strategic decisions.
Support the Business Manager to develop business cases and financial modelling that align with portfolio goals and priorities.
About you
You're a proactive and thoughtful business management partner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems. You’re not just confident with numbers, you also value collaboration and clear communication.
You’ll ideally bring:
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Great communication and relationship-building skills to support effective stakeholder engagement.
Sharp attention to detail, strong accuracy, and confidence working independently.
A background in finance, accounting, or business management (tertiary qualifications are a plus).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with systems like Oracle, TM1, or Concur (or a willingness to learn).
A passion for supporting a purpose-driven organisation that values inclusion, diversity, and public service.
