This role is classified as Level 2 Business Support role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $68,239 - $ $89,139). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.
The Role
SBS is looking for a full-time Business Support Officer to assist our Technology Business Management team.
Raise purchase orders, process invoices and the acquittal of expense claims
Monitor financial transactions, identify variances in expenses and headcount/FTEs
Prepare monthly Expenditure reports and value-add analysis
Assist with the quarterly and annual budget/forecast process, ensuring accurate data consolidation and reporting
Assist the Business Management team to collaborate with Finance and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial matters
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency
Provide administrative support to the Technology Business Management team as required
About you
Good organisational skills and proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pro-active approach to resolving financial and administrative issues
Desire and ability to acquire new skills with a positive and a can-do attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation and cleaning)
Background in finance, business administration, or a related field is advantageous
Experience with financial systems such as Oracle or similar; and other systems such as Concur or TANDA platforms is desirable
