This role is classified as Level 4  role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $99,377 - $109,889). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Education and Essential Services, the First Nations Audio Executive Producer will play a critical role in developing and delivering the editorial content and strategy for First Nations audio content. This includes the production and delivery of distinctive and innovative multi-platform content for the NITV Radio service. This role includes managing a team of 1-2 casual producers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and producing multiplatform content, specifically audio, for First Nations audiences.
• Generate, develop and foster content ideas for the First Nations audience.
• In collaboration with their Manager, evolve and drive the First Nations audio strategy to optimise output for reach and impact, including consideration of First Nations language retention.  
• Collaborate across multilingual teams and NITV to create, enhance and promote content.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• A strong knowledge and understanding of the needs of First Nations audiences.
• Demonstrated journalism experience in a multi-platform environment (experience in radio is desirable). This includes the:
  • ability to undertake tasks involved in the planning, preparation, production, presentation and delivery of broadcast content
  • ability to write and edit factual content. 
• Demonstrated effective teamwork, collaboration, communication, and time management skills to collaborate with other teams and operate effectively in a busy production environment.
