Group Sales Manager - National Indigenous Television (NITV)

This role is classified as Level 6 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $129,821 - $154,320). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Role

The SBS Media sales team is driven by a culture of continuous improvement. We are looking for a Group Sales Manager NITV who will be an integral part of a high performing team to deliver business outcomes. 

The Group Sales Manager NITV is responsible for implementing growth strategies for revenue and revenue share within NITV’s television and digital sales portfolio, in line with the SBS Media Sales strategy and SBS Corporate Plans.  

The position is a sales leadership role, responsible for delivering business outcomes for our clients and revenue targets across our distinctive National NITV network and digital assets, including our market leading SBS On Demand platform. With a strategic outlook, the successful candidate is required to work closely with other members of the SBS Media Sales team Nationally to grow revenues.

About you 

This role is part of the SBS Media Culture and Language Sales team and will report into the National Sales Manager NITV, candidates should ideally have:

  • A genuine passion for Indigenous cultures and alignment with NITV’s purpose to amplify Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, stories and perspectives
  • Demonstrated capability as a highly constructive people leader who is passionate about people, development and growth
  • Solid experience working as a Senior Sales Executive or Group Sales Manager (or similar) within the media industry and sound line management experience
  • Strong established relationships with media agencies and record of consistent overachievement of sales targets
  • Proven experience in leading and coaching teams to deliver results with a focus on innovation, partnership and collaboration
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to positively influence outcomes
  • Experience in selling and implementing client partnerships and sponsorships along with experience selling media to diverse audiences a plus
