This role is classified as a Level 2 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $ 70,286 - $80,000). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework. 

The Role 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Commercial, the Operations Coordinator plays a key role supporting the financial and operational administration of SBS's content acquisitions and commissioned projects. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Coordinating financial administration processes for content acquisition and commissioned projects. 

• Processing payments and disbursements in line with contractual obligations. 

• Maintaining accurate financial data across Oracle and IBMS. 

• Tracking recoupments and supporting financial reconciliations and reporting. 

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment queries and contribute to continuous process improvement. 

We're looking for someone who brings: 

• Demonstrated experience in financial or commercial administration, ideally within a media, broadcast or similarly complex environment.  

• Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a high level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.  

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.  

• Confidence building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supported by clear written and verbal communication skills.  

• Experience working with financial systems such as Oracle and IBMS (or similar enterprise systems), with a continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The Department 

The Commercial team is part of the broader Commercial and Production Department and plays a crucial role in managing the commercial aspects of SBS's television and online content. The team supports the negotiation, execution and management of acquisition, commissioning and distribution deals across multiple platforms, working closely with Legal, Network Programming, Finance, Commissioning teams and external partners to deliver strong commercial outcomes aligned with SBS's Charter, vision and values.
