This role is classified as Level 2 Business Support role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $68239-$89139). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Department
The Legal Division is an award-winning, high performing and engaged cross-disciplinary team of lawyers, rights experts, archivists and information governance specialists. Our purpose is to provide proactive, enabling advice and support to manage risk and contribute to SBS to achieving its goals. The Role
As part of the SBS Legal team, you will play a crucial role in supporting SBS lawyers across a range of legal and media industry matters. Reporting to a Legal Counsel, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting legal and media industry research, fact-checking and information retrieval and analysis.
Drafting, reviewing and editing legal documents and correspondence.
Supporting legal and law reform processes, including dispute resolution support.
Assisting with the preparation of legal training materials and resources.
Managing and supporting the updating of the legal templates and intranet resources.
Facilitating and managing knowledge resources to capture and share insights.
Supporting the implementation of file management and operational processes to optimise the delivery of legal services.
About You
If you have experience supporting a legal team, have a can-do approach and good practical understanding of legal concepts and processes â we would love to hear from you!
You are curious about the world around you, love building connections with others, have a passion for media, and capacity to learn and share knowledge.
