This role is classified as Level 2 (annual base salary $68,239 - $89,139) under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement. The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework
The Department
At the heart of SBS, Audio and Language Content has over 60 language teams engaging audiences in conversations on Australian and international news and current affairs and connecting communities through stories and providing settlement information. We deliver services across radio, podcasting, online and social media.
The Role
With a sound understanding of the Filipino-speaking community in Australia and its cultural sensitivities, as a producer, you will contribute to fostering audience engagement on-air and online. Prior experience in journalism or broadcasting will be highly regarded.
Candidates must have full working rights and reside in Sydney to be eligible applicants.
This role is being offered on a casual basis and is to be performed onsite from our studios during your assigned shifts.
About you
Produce, research, write, translate and sub-edit news, current affairs and other multiplatform content.
Generate strong story ideas and maintain relationships with contributors and community contacts.
Producer and present audio content, radio programs, interviews and talkback, and operate broadcast systems.
Prepare, upload and maintain online content, including text, images and website updates.
Manage administrative tasks such as documentation, correspondence and listener feedback.
Proficiency in speaking and typing in Filipino as well as English.
