This role is classified as Level 6 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with an annual base salary range of $126,040 - $140,000). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the delivery of key initiatives within SBS’s AI Program. This role is central to driving the day-to-day management of multiple project streams, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. You’ll be working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, applying strong project governance and delivery frameworks to help shape the future of AI at SBS.

 

In this role you will:

  • Lead the planning, coordination and execution of AI Program projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Oversee project governance, reporting and budget management, ensuring risks and issues are managed proactively.
  • Support change management initiatives including stakeholder impact assessments, readiness analysis, and the rollout of communication and training strategies.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships across SBS, engaging stakeholders at all levels to ensure collaboration and alignment.

This is a hybrid job that will be based in Sydney, Australia. You need to have Australian working rights to be considered.

About you
You are an experienced Project Manager who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You are hands-on, delivery-focused and bring a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale technology projects. You’re also a natural collaborator who can influence and inspire others through clear communication and strong leadership.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise technology projects concurrently with smaller projects.
  • Strong project management expertise across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in managing budgets, resources and governance processes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams.
  • Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills with strong Powerpoint skills.
  • The ability to be adaptable and work flexibly and effectively under pressure.

Experience in delivering AI or data-driven projects will be highly regarded but is not essential.
