Rostering Lead, Digital News and Current Affairs

This role is classified as Level 4 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $100,000 - $105,000). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.  SBS may also require you to work reasonable overtime, where overtime will be paid at applicable rates in accordance with the EA.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, Digital News & Current Affairs, the Rostering Lead will be responsible for the preparation, coordination and maintenance of rosters to support Digital News and Current Affairs operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily roster movements for the Digital teams, including applying all adjustments and updates to the Day-of-Operations Roster
  • Forward planning Working Rosters and maintaining Master Rosters.
  • Applying critical analysis in determining complex rostering solutions.
  • Producing relevant analysis & reports in relation to roster movements.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Expertise in rostering the end-to-end pipeline of a large, highly dynamic workforce.
  • Demonstrated familiarity in applying Enterprise Agreement provisions to rosters.
  • An understanding of media environments &/or digital production workflows.
  • An affinity for data, detail and highly organised workflows
  • Strong communication & stakeholder engagement skills
