 About the Office of the First Nations Director

 The Office of the SBS First Nations Director leads our strategic commitment to elevating the voices, knowledge, and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We work across SBS to embed First Nations perspectives into everything we do; our culture, our content, and our commercial work. Through authentic collaboration, we aim to position SBS as a national leader in cultural integrity and representation.

 The Role

 We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to join SBS First - a role that’s central to delivering our First Nations strategy across the entire SBS network.  This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage complex, multi-year initiatives that advance First Nations representation across content, operations, and partnerships. You’ll bring strong cultural capability, project leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure these initiatives make a real difference for First Nations audiences and communities.

 What You’ll Do

• Lead end to end delivery of strategic projects within the SBS First Nations plan.
• Establish and maintain robust, culturally informed governance frameworks.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and milestones that ensure successful, sustainable outcomes.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with First Nations communities, advisors, and external partners.
• Provide high quality reporting and insights to senior leaders and committees.
• Collaborate across SBS divisions; including NITV and RAP leadership; to align on strategy and outcomes.
• Champion cultural integrity and authentic storytelling in all project work.

 About You

 We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine commitment to working respectfully with First Nations peoples, cultures, and perspectives.
• Brings established relationships or the ability to build them, with First Nations communities and stakeholders.
• Has extensive experience leading large, strategic projects that balance cultural, creative, and commercial outcomes.
• Can influence and collaborate with senior executives and diverse teams across complex organisations.
• Demonstrates excellent organisational and communication skills, and thrives in a fast paced environment.
• Holds tertiary qualifications in project management, business, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
