This role is classified as Level 2 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $70,286 - $83,00). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.
The Role
This is a 5-month, full-time, contract opportunity (July â November) hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days wfh), based in our Sydney office.
Reporting to the Managing Editor, SBS Food Digital, the Social & Editorial Producer will play a key role in creating, publishing and promoting engaging food content across SBS Food digital and social platforms. The role supports SBS Food programming, editorial initiatives and audience growth through innovative storytelling and social-first content production.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing and editing high-quality social video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube
Managing and publishing editorial content including videos, articles, recipes, and campaign assets across SBS Food digital platforms
Coordinating cross-platform content delivery for SBS Food programs, campaigns and SBS On Demand titles
Supporting SBS Food’s social media strategy through engaging copywriting, content scheduling and trend-driven storytelling
Collaborating with internal teams, freelancers and external contributors to deliver impactful and culturally relevant content experiences
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Demonstrated experience producing engaging social video content for digital audiences, ideally within food media
Strong video production skills, including shooting, editing and creating social-first content across multiple platforms
Excellent editorial judgement with strong writing, sub-editing and content management capabilities
A strong understanding of social media publishing trends, audience engagement and platform best practice. Experience with Sprout would be advantageous
The ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while working collaboratively in a fast-paced editorial environment
