The Role

The Business Analyst and Project Lead is responsible for the business analysis, facilitation, elicitation, and documentation of business requirements for People and Culture projects. This includes requirements/information gathering, analysis, writing up product requirements, developing and documenting of end-to-end process workflow. Work in line with BA Team requirements and be the conduit between People and Culture and internal BA team throughout project phases to ensure BA solutions accurately reflect the business objectives and outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of P&C Operations, the Business Analyst and Project Lead will be undertaking the following:  

Information gathering:

  • Facilitate workshops, interview, and meetings with all relevant stakeholders to capture and document process workflows, business requirements, business strategy, problems, or pain points.
  • Work with the BA Team to ensure their frameworks are followed to capture the data and information required from a functionality perspective. As required the role will require to liaise with the relevant technology team to capture technical requirements.
  • Understand P&C best practice processes from a technical perspective and determine with relevant stakeholder what is "mandatory" to have and what is a "nice to have".

Project Management and Governance:

  • Develop and maintain standard project documentation and reporting.
  • Report on project progress and escalations via P&C meetings and Project Review meetings ensuring that project status, key issues and risks, any relevant escalations are tabled appropriately and dealt promptly.
  • Actively manage and forecast timeline, identifying, and managing the constraints and that any anticipated or realised variances are raised and reported on.

About you

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business analytics and project management related to People and Culture systems
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate, extract information, document business/product requirements and develop People and Culture workflows.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to positively influence stakeholders towards "blue sky" thinking and best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to manage difficult stakeholders, have exceptional problem-solving skills to achieve project objectives and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Exceptional project governance and reporting to ensure all stakeholders are well informed throughout the project.
  • Demonstrated experience adhering to project management frameworks, methodologies and have strong project management know-how.
