The Role

Are you looking to make the next step in your journalism career at SBS News? 

This role will include covering both domestic and international news, including both breaking stories and original approved pitches.

Understanding the importance of social media and driving content online is a key part of the role.

About you

Ideally, you will have:

• Broadcast reporting experience and have provided news content across: TV, radio, and digital.
• Identifying, arranging, and carrying out interviews as well as chasing exclusive and distinctive elements of stories in the field and from the office
• Ability to deliver lead stories to tight deadlines
• Strong background and knowledge of international and domestic events.
• In addition, you will have a sound understanding of stories which resonate with our diverse audiences, and knowledge of SBS Charter and SBS Code of Conduct
