Senior Brand Manager

SBS is on the hunt for a passionate, experienced, digitally savvy marketer to join a fast paced team as a Senior Brand Manager for a 6-month contract, leading all marketing activity for News and Current Affairs, and key campaigns for SBS priority content.

This is a mid-level role reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager.

About you

You have extensive experience in digital marketing across all digital channels, coupled with strong knowledge of product and/or performance marketing, digital metrics and digital strategy, planning and execution. You are a highly effective implementer and project manager who loves working in an exciting, fast-paced environment. You’re a natural relationship builder, proactive in managing complex projects and an enthusiastic collaborator. You are audience obsessed with a passion for news and diverse content, and the ability to think outside the box and come up with unique and innovative solutions to engage audiences.

Whist this role is a mid-senior level role (even though referred as "Senior" internally), we would like the successful candidate to come with the following:

  • Demonstrated marketing experience, having previously managed multiple complex, integrated campaigns end to end.
  • Demonstrated digital marketing experience with a solid understanding of all digital platforms including CRM, SEM, social, product and/or performance marketing, digital metrics, optimisation, test & learn methodology, analytics and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic campaign planning, drawing on multiple data points to drive insights.
  • Significant experience working with media agencies with ability to critically assess media plans and drive maximum ROI.
  • High-level project management competency, in a multi-channel or complex environment.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management (including at C level) and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics.

News and/or media industry and/or digital agency experience is highly regarded. Having experience working in agile project teams is a bonus given we work this way on some projects.
