About the role

Reporting into the Executive Producer the Senior Producer for Korean is responsible for:

  • Planning, preparing, assessing, researching, writing, producing, sub-editing, translate and/or script multi-platform content for presentation including (but not limited to) international, national, homeland and local news, current affairs and other relevant content as required.
  • Local and interstate colleagues and management, generation, development and fostering creative ideas for program content for the Korean platform(s) and language audience.
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining appropriate contact with correspondents (stringers and contributors) and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Performing a range of broadcasting and online delivery tasks and responsibilities.
  • Driving the administration, training and teamwork culture of our production team.

Candidates must either reside in Sydney or Melbourne and have full working rights. On offer is a part-time permanent role offering 34 hours per week.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in digital journalism/production, including the production and presentation of multi-platform content (video, online article, social media, and podcast) and ability to compile and sub-edit news, sport, and current affairs from a variety of sources.
  • A rich understanding of the Korean community in general and the Korean- speaking community in particular, living in Australia
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and problem-solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a star collaborator and maintain productive relationships with colleagues and a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English and in, both written and spoken including clear broadcast delivery.
